Academic research datasets have special requirements for storing and sharing. The DISC-UK Datashare project, 2007-9, seeks to help institutional repositories in UK higher education meet these requirements. This JISC-funded project is coordinated by EDINA and builds on the existing informal collaboration of DISC-UK (Data Information Specialists Committee—UK) members for improving their data libraries and models of social science data support.
